Nuclear Threat Initiative
Goddard Global was asked by the Nuclear Threat Initiative to help engage with global leaders, raise awareness, and educate opinion leaders about NTI’s mission—to strengthen global security by preventing the spread of nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons.
Goddard’s Founder, Ben Goddard produced and wrote two films that helped to reframe the global debate on nuclear issues. Last Best Chance aired on HBO and dramatised how easy it would be for terrorists to acquire a nuclear weapon. The 9/11 Commission hailed it as “A wake-up call for America and the world.”
The second, a follow-up film Nuclear Tipping Point, is a documentary featuring former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, former Secretaries Henry Kissinger, George Shultz and Bill Perry and former Senator Sam Nunn. United States President Obama has screened the film for his national security advisors in the White House, and it has been screened in several hundred colleges, universities, and public venues.
